Self-love is being mindful that you own your moment.

You don’t own it when you allow your mind to drift to imaginary conversations, unwanted scenarios, past or future analysis, or any kind of criticism. When you don’t own your moment, you’re not there for it. You’re in your mind and you lose the power to act consciously. Self-love is recognizing that you can and do choose the quality of your personal experience by what you bring (or don’t) into your moment. Self-love is allowing yourself to unconditionally experience peace, aliveness, and creativity by being present.

Surrender is recognition that when you attempt to control circumstances (things like timing, how other people are feeling, or what next week holds) you actually diminish the quality you expect to gain through control — your happiness. Lolz, right? Surrender is acknowledging that what you want is to feel good and that you feel good when you accept that you can’t control anything except your willingness to accept what is.
